Our Services
Bulk Billing, Paediatric HEARing in Beecroft.
The importance of good vision in children is well recognised. Recognising the importance of good hearing is equally essential.
Hearing and Vision are your child's two most important senses for learning.
Hearing loss is invisible and can present as speech delays, articulation issues, inattention, trouble following instruction, behavioural issues, reading, writing or spelling difficulties and more.
We're making hearing tests more accessible for children, filling a gap where access is limited compared to vision and dental checks. We offer comprehensive hearing examinations onsite at NSW schools.
Our clinic is located within Her GP in Beecroft. This clinic is open on Sunday's 8:30-12:30 pm (bulk billed). Please ask your GP/Specialist to complete this form

Although your child may have passed their hearing screen at birth, their hearing can change.

Yearly check-ups should be a regular part of your child's healthcare routine, just like their eye and dental exams.
Any degree of hearing loss can impact your child's learning and early identification is critical.

We understand it's not easy for parents to take time off work and for children to miss school which is why we offer Sunday appointments for parent convenience at our Kids Hearing Clinic in Beecroft.

My Child's Hearing Test
We are skilled in assessing children and use a child-oriented approach. The test involves a fun "game" whilst wearing headphones. A check of the outer and middle ears is also performed .
For parents/guardians of young children or children who maybe anxious or scared about their appointment, if you feel it is ok, please let your child know they will be coming to play a game and check their hearing. We are skilled in paediatric assessments so don't worry if you feel your child will not comply, we have special ways of encouraging them to join in and participate, and of course you will be present the whole time for comfort and reassurance.
Play Audiometry or PTA
This assessment measures your child's ability to discriminate between different sound intensities and frequencies. They respond using a fun game, or for older children by pressing a button.

Otoscopy, Tympanometry & Otoacoustic Emissions
A safe and painless assessment of the outer, middle and inner-ears and involves your child sitting still for approximately 1 minute . They are welcome to watch their favorite show or read a book while this assessment takes place.
Speech Testing & Acoustic Reflexes
If further assessment is indicated speech testing is performed to understand the child's ability to discriminate speech sounds and recall the information presented based on auditory input alone. Similarly, if indicated Acoustic Reflexes is performed. This assesses the pathway between the brain and the ear by assessing the involuntary contraction of the ear muscle to sounds presented.
